Del Maguey Chichicapa is a single village mezcal made from 100% Espadin agave. It is produced in the village of Chichicapa, located in the Sierra Madre Mountains of Oaxaca, Mexico. This mezcal is made in the traditional way, using a stone-lined pit oven to cook the agave, a horse-drawn tahona to crush the cooked agave, and a wooden fermentation vat. The result is a smoky, earthy mezcal with notes of cooked agave, citrus, and herbs. Del Maguey Chichicapa is best enjoyed neat or in a classic mezcal cocktail.
