Mal Bien Refugio is a small batch, artisanal mezcal made from 100% agave Espadín. It is produced in the small village of San Juan del Río, Oaxaca, Mexico. The agave is cooked in a traditional underground oven, and then fermented and distilled in copper stills. The mezcal is then aged in oak barrels for a minimum of six months. The result is a smooth, smoky, and complex spirit with notes of citrus, herbs, and spice.
