Old Carter Straight Rye Whiskey Batch #11 is a limited release for this year by Tuthilltown Spirits. This whiskey is made from grain-mash of 60% rye, 30% corn and 10% malted barley. It is aged in new American oak barrels for four years, making it the youngest rye whiskey available in the US. It is bottled at 92 proof (46% abv) and has an aroma of sweet oak, spice, and vanilla. The taste has notes of clove, honey, caramel, and peppery spice. The finish is smooth and warm. This is a great whiskey to enjoy neat or in cocktails.
