Knappogue Castle Congac Cask Single Malt Irish Whiskey 12 year 750 ml
Knappogue Castle is located in County Clare, Ireland and produces its special whisky from malted barley, pot still distilled and matured in oak casks for twelve years. The whiskey is known for its complexity and is aged in a combination of Spanish Oloroso Sherry casks and American Bourbon Whiskey barrels.
It offers a pale gold color with a light citrus nose. On the palate, light hints of malt, toffee, and oak are present. The whiskey has a smooth and mellow finish with a pleasant combination of sweet vanilla, wood spices, and oak.
Knappogue Castle 12 year old is best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of Still Spring Irish Water. This whiskey can also be used in a classic cocktail such as an Irish Whiskey Sour or an Irish Coffee. Enjoy this Irish whiskey and appreciate the County Clare region of Ireland it represents.
