It is made from a mash of at least 51% rye, and aged for a minimum of four years in charred oak barrels. The whiskey has a deep amber color and a nose of sweet vanilla, oak, and spice. On the palate, it is smooth and creamy, with notes of caramel, toasted oak, and baking spices. The finish is long and warming, with a hint of pepper. Knob Creek 100 Proof Small Batch Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey is best enjoyed neat or on the rocks.
