Rezpiral is a mezcal made from two varieties of agave, Berta Vasquez and Tobala. It is produced in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico, and is made using traditional methods. The agave is cooked in an underground oven, then mashed and fermented in wooden vats. The mezcal is then double distilled in copper stills. The final product is bottled at 750 ml and has an ABV of 45%. Rezpiral has a smoky, earthy flavor with notes of citrus and herbs. It is best enjoyed neat or in a cocktail.
